Finance Business Partner - Iraq

Our client is a MNC with its regional HQ in Dubai.  Working alongside the Country GM and reporting into the Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

Based in Dubai with quarterly travel to Iraq

  • Lead team responsible for billing, invoicing, payroll, variance analysis and preparation of P&L
  • Manage 2 Finance Business Partners
  • Provide SME support to leadership and management team on all financial queries for Iraq
  • Provide monthly financial and operating KPIs
  • Lead the profitability analysis
  • Ensure implementation and compliance to Financial Standard Operating Procedures
  • Documentation and management of Iraq tax liabilities and payments
  • Supervision and management of cash to ensure group cash flow is maximized and cash risk minimized
  • Identify potential cost reduction
  • Monitoring and reporting on Cash Flow forecasting
  • Consolidate and prepare the Iraq P&L and explanation of trends and variances
  • Reporting on monthly consolidation and variances
  • Develop, improve and manage the monthly management reporting

Requirements:

  • CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent qualification is essential
  • Experience in Finance and Accounting with operational focus in recent years
  • 8-12 years’ experience in similar role
  • Demonstrates in-depth financial awareness – Thinks in terms of profit, loss and adding value
  • Ability to apply financial analysis and modelling across a range of situations
  • Structure financial information to meet the various needs of internal and external audiences
  • Takes a leading and consultative approach
  • Provides input to senior leadership to produce workable solution to financial issues
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with Senior Management and clients
  • Demonstrates team leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including understanding of pivot tables, macro’s, etc
  • Fluent English speaker, excellent written and verbal communication skills
