Finance Manager - Manufacturing

Our client is a Manufacturing Business with various production lines. Working alongside the GM, you would report to the Finance Director in Dubai

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring accuracy of all inputs into the Financial system
  • Project costing and MIS related duties including inventory control
  • Oversee annual budgets and monthly forecasting
  • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  • Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies regarding cost analyses and profitability
  • Manages the accounting team
  • Ensures KPIs set are relevant and reported in a timely manner, investigating any variance and taking corrective action where required
  • Improve the company’s financial performance and financial controls
  • Develops and implements a robust credit control mechanism
  • Manages the credit control team, allocates individual targets, reviews the same continuously to ensure targets are met
  • Approves payments
  • Maximize cash and minimize working capital
  • Oversees the complete payroll operation, including year-end reports
  • Prepares appropriation requests and reports on approved capital spending for company
  • Manages relationship with Bankers, Auditors, Company Secretary, Insurers and other third parties
  • Manages closing of financial ledgers to ensure production of timely financial information to enable appropriate decision making
  • Work with internal/external auditors

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA etc) with around 10 yrs PQE
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Manufacturing/cost accounting experience gained in an engineering production facility
  • MNC/Big 4 background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a high calibre candidate, able to present to the Board
  • Dynamic, driven individual
