An exciting opportunity has arose to work for a leading group holding company who operate within a diverse range of business sectors here in the UAE

Job Description:

Supporting the Senior Legal Advisor and Head of Legal with day-to-day legal tasks, mainly coordinating and managing all disputes and litigation/Court cases for the group as well taking responsibility for all government relations and legal affairs for the group

Principal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Providing paralegal and administrative support for the Senior Legal Advisor and Head of Legal in relation to Litigation, Disputes and government affairs
  • Providing legal advice in a timely and effective manner and in conformity with Company policies and procedures, Corporate Legal advice, the guidance of the Head of Legal and other specialist functions and applicable law
  • Preparing, advising on and managing all workload for disputes, with the aim of achieving best results for the Group
  • In addition to contentious responsibilities and government relation/affairs, providing legal support for other areas of law as directed including but not limited to commercial transactions, risk management, corporate governance, real estate conveyances, representation and other intermediary arrangements, joint venture and cooperation arrangements, employee relations, confidential disclosures, licenses, and acquisitions and divestitures in the Middle East

  • Assisting the Head of Legal with the management of external legal advisers where appropriate, in a timely and cost efficient manner

Education and/or Experience:

Essential:

  • LLB/ Bachelors Law degree in home (or other) Country
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in similar position here in the UAE, where disputes, litigation and government relations has been the main focus. (Private Practice and In-house experience will be considered)
  • Native Arabic language skills, able to read, write and speak fluently
  • Excellent English communication skills

Preferable:

  • Multi-sector experience - Experience working across a range of business sectors
