Map policy development processes that flow from initial thoughts and ideas through concise steps to a measurable, implementable policy and/or procedure

Oversee the implementation of the policy and/or procedure to ensure that it meets the agreed outcome

Job Role:

  • Compose, maintain and clarify existing or proposed policies and procedures based on thorough research, analysis results or direction and input from relevant Company personnel
  • Analyse the review and writing of business processes and policy and the procedures to introduce changes to policies or procedures
  • Analyse documentation for policies and procedures, organise material and complete assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
  • Edit, standardise and make changes to policy documentation and consult with Company representatives to establish technical comprehension and to determine subject material to be developed for policy or procedure publication
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format or content
  • Ensure that government regulations are followed
  • Assist with Legal and compliance approval process
  • Act to ensure policies and procedures are understood throughout the Company by working with relevant Company personnel
  • Engage Senior Management and relevant Company personnel to ensure coordination and integration of policy objectives
  • Perform special project work when needed and all other duties as assigned
  • In the event that the Crisis Management Team (CMT) is required, provide support to the Senior Executive Assistant to the General Manager, including but not limited to developing Press Releases etc


To be considered for this role you need to have the following key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience writing and editing ideally in a semi-government/government environment
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
  • Ability to read and comprehend information and ideas presented in writing
  • Ability to display written fluency in English by tailoring policy writing for internal and external audiences
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written English communication skills, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to read and write Arabic desired but not essential
  • Highly focused on accuracy, attention to detail and timely delivery
  • Quick and motivated learner who enjoys a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suites; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be able to work independently in an environment with many contributors and stakeholders, as well as across departments
