An exciting in-house opportunity has arisen to work for a leading international group in Dubai. This position will be based at the centralised Group Legal Function and will handle legal matters for both the Middle East and International

Job Purpose:

The job holder is responsible to undertake tasks related to Commercial, Civil & Real Estate Laws & matters

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, commenting, amending and negotiating various commercial and civil documents and agreements
  • Providing legal advice, opinions and assistance to all departments in the groupand to its subsidiaries, in respect of various matters pertaining to commercial, civil, real estate, criminal, corporate, IP, IT financial matters and in general respect of any and all other federal and local laws and regulations
  • Conducting research in respect of various legal matters, court’s precedents, jurisprudence and all other legal subjects and inquiries
  • Drafting legal documents and letters addressed to private and governmental entities and bodies including ministries, local authorities, police, court etc
  • Liaising with external lawyer in handling courts and arbitration cases, Rent committee cases, reviewing memorandum drafted by external lawyers and providing comments etc

Candidate Qualification/Experience:

  • LLB Degree in Law from recognised University
  • Qualified to practice as a Lawyer in home country (or other)/Admitted to Law Society/Bar)
  • Min 4 years’ experience gained in an international law firm environment
  • Must have experience in “UAE” Commercial, Civil & Real Estate Laws matters
  • Excellent English Communication and Drafting skills. (Arabic language skills are preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
  • A sound understanding of commercial transactions
