With more than three decades in recruitment, Damian brings extensive international experience across the UK, Europe, Caribbean and the United States to Inspire Selection’s Finance & Accounting team in the Middle East.
Having started his career in London’s financial markets, Damian has spent much of his career partnering with businesses across banking, investment management, hedge funds, private equity, wealth management and broader financial services.
Prior to moving to the US, Damian spent almost three years in the Cayman Islands, one of the world’s leading international financial centers, where he led recruitment across financial services, investment management, private wealth and FinTech. Working closely with international investment firms and senior finance leaders further developed his understanding of the specialist talent requirements within funds and alternative investments, experience that translates particularly well to the rapidly expanding DIFC / GCC market.
Damian specialises in experienced and senior Finance & Accounting appointments, from qualified accountants, Finance Managers and Financial Controllers through to Finance Directors and CFOs. Having also built and led recruitment businesses and specialist divisions, he brings the commercial perspective of someone who understands both sides of the hiring conversation.
His approach is energetic, direct and highly relationship-driven. Rather than simply filling individual vacancies, Damian focuses on becoming a trusted extension of his clients’ businesses, understanding their strategy, culture and future growth plans so he can introduce the right people, often before a vacancy reaches the wider market.
